The PIM network consists of 64 members currently, with one candidate member who will be voted on by the full network in 2018.
Within the PIM network there is a ‘Membership Committee’, which is tasked with any requests coming in from interested schools who would like to become member. One of our current conversations is around the future growth strategy for PIM, which will influence the way members are added to the network.
Should your school be interested, please note the following stages in the membership process:
Stage 1: The PIM Membership Committee consists of representatives from the three PIM regions. It has an internal evaluation process in order to admit new members. The committee makes recommendations to the chairs for approval.
Stage 2: During the annual meeting, a member of the ‘Membership committee’ presents the proposed candidate to all PIM members. All PIM members will vote on the new member candidate at the annual PIM conference.
Stage 3: Once voted and accepted as a candidate member school, the new member candidate will participate personally in the following year in order to present the school, usually by the Dean him/herself or Associate Dean for International Affairs. In this meeting, the PIM representatives will take their final vote on the PIM membership (by majority vote).
Should your school want to apply, please contact the PIM network coordinator.
