Corvinus University of Budapest is Hungary’s leading university in the field of economic and social sciences. As its medium-term goal, Corvinus, which is maintained by Maecenas Universitatis Corvini Foundation, wants to become the best higher education institution in the above-mentioned field not only in Hungary, but also in Central Europe. Currently, about 10,000 students study at Corvinus University, including 2,000 international students. The institution maintains close relations with more than 200 partner universities worldwide. Corvinus regularly achieves high positions in international higher education rankings: with its Masters in Business and Management, it was ranked number one in the region in the 2019 Eduniversal Ranking; and with its Masters in Management and Leadership, it has been ranked among the 100 best business schools in the world year after year by the Financial Times since 2005. Corvinus University of Budapest is the only university in the field of economic sciences in Hungary that has two international institutional accreditations (AMBA, AACSB).
Corvinus has widespread international relations and exchange programs with universities from the United States to New Zealand and from Sweden to South Africa. The university is a member of the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS) and the Partnership in International Management (PIM), a consortium of leading international business schools.
Corvinus University is located just a few minutes’ walk from the central downtown Budapest. It is acknowledged to be the most prominent centre for education and research in business, financial management, management and organization, marketing, information management, business ethics, environmental management and management practice in Hungary.
The excellent quality of education offered by Corvinus is acknowledged worldwide and is reflected by its diverse international partners as well as in its memberships in select organizations. For international students studying in Corvinus’ English language bachelor and master programs and for the large number of incoming international exchange students, Corvinus offers a wide range of courses in English and German (over 140 different subjects each semester) involving most of the Departments and covering all the fields of specialization.
